Good Times, Bed Times (2003)
Member Rating:
When gossip journalist Carrie (Sammi Cheng) investigates the strange case of policeman-turned-model Paul Ko (Louis Koo), who has been put out of commission in more ways than one after being shot in the groin, she finds herself falling for him despite herself. Meanwhile, Carrie's sex-obsessed ex-boyfriend (Lau Ching-Wan) is approached by an equally carnal female (Charlene Choi) and is pleased as can be with the exception of one, rather important thing: Tabby (Choi) is way too young for him. Good Times, Bed Times was directed by Patrick Leung and also features Tony Leung Kar-Fai. ~ Tracie Cooper, Rovi

How many more times can we be expected to believe that Lau Ching-Wan's characters could be dating someone half or one third his age ? This movie is not funny, romantic or the least bit provocative. And combining the singing sensations of Sammi Cheng and Charlene Choi only means that neither could hold this extremely tedious and vacuous story on their own. It looked like two weak, short stories with big name actresses were combined into one bigger, weaker movie. It should, however, receive an award for the most bizarre use of a baby chick as a metaphor. There is a bit of extra video in the end credits, but they aren't subtitled. The subtitles suffered from constant grammatical errors. Despite the Dolby Digital 5.1 audio option, the sound came across as stereo. As for extras, there's a "Trailer" featurette (7:55 min) that is not subtitled in English and looks more like a behind the scenes extra. Not recommended.

Poor story lines, and the acting annoyed me so bad I had to take a long bathroom break. Maybe one or two funny jokes.
