Sea Marks Reviews

Sea Marks ()
Member Rating:
An unschooled Irish fisherman attempts to win the heart of an upper-class English woman whom he has only glimpsed once in directors Steven Robman and Ronald F. Maxwell's adaptation of a play originally staged for the theater by the Manhattan Theater Club. Despite only having caught a passing glimpse of her beauty during a wedding ceremony, the lovesick fisherman soon begins courting the woman he believes to be his soul mate by mail. When the charmed object of his affections recognizes the primitive beauty in his poetry and invites the fisherman to Liverpool to live with her, their romance burns brightly as the passionate poet begins to receive recognition for his naive but heartfelt writing style. Despite their growing devotion to one another, an unforeseen conflict threatens to transform the picturesque romance into a portrait of heartache. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi
