A French model (Stefanie Powers) poses for an artist (Stacy Keach), and they begin an affair. It doesn't last, however, and the model moves on to a married man (Timothy Dalton), while the artist has an affair with his benefactor (Lee Remick). This TV miniseries is based on a novel by Judith Krantz. ~ John Bush, Rovi

I have always loved this mini series since the time I first saw this in the 1980's. I plan on buying this movie it is full of PASSION and ROMANCE. THIS IS DEFINITELY A CHICK FLICK. IT IS THE PERFECT ROMANTIC MOVIE FOR COUPLES TO WATCH TOGETHER. .

Kind of drawn out but rather good. Keach is a good scoundrel amongst others, but has surprise in the end. Powers outshines her progeny by far. Too bad Dalton exits quickly. Remick offers a sharp contrast to Powers and her associates. And Richardson fits the part.

The actors were very good. A little slow at times.

I'm on the 2nd disc and have read the book and have one more disc to go. The book is fabulous but I'm starting to wonder while waiting for the third disc if it will complete the story. Each disc wasn't very long, probably about an hour or so!

If you can ignore Judith Krantz's idiotic & dim-witted reading of a signboard at the beginning of Disc 1, the mini-series is all in all entertaining. Obviously dated, as will be noted by Stefanie Powers steadfastly refusing to display anything other than her arms, lower legs, and heavenly lips that are smeared with gobs of bright red lipstick.

I did not put this in my queue and there I was stuck with ALL 3 of this boring effort. We did not even watch it after taking a look at the first one. This is not my taste at all. Some people like this sort of thing and it is fine for them.
