I missed this movie when it was shown on TV. I liked the movie, & it gave food for thought. The movie didn't portray Martha Stewart in the most favorable light, and she seems opportunistic, and not very likeable. I respect her, but she might not be a person that I would really like a whole lot. I don't, and never did, really relate to her. Cybill Shepherd did a really good job in this role, but didn't quite come across as believable as Martha. (I felt I was viewing being in Stepford a few times.) Tim Matheson, as Andy Stewart, stole the show who played Martha's long-suffering husband. (Martha, he was a keeper.) Sean Gallagher, as a Young Andy Stewart, did a good job and stole the show as well. Jude Ciccolella, as Martha's Father, was someone I related to a bit more. (He reminded me a bit of my own dad.) According to the movie Martha was pretty much VERY much like him. Martha's mother was pretty much invisible. All in all a good movie, and very much worth seeing.

I think that Cybill Shepherd plays Martha Pretty well. You can almost see Martha's true face peering in as Cybill speaks. Most people don't really like Martha, but I have a love hate relationship with her. She's like a car wreak...you don't wanna watch but you just have to. I think the movie shows alot of her past that molded her into the person she is today. Also its a movie ripped off from TV,2.5 stars in my book....not a must watch but interesting if you wonder about Martha.
