Metamorphosis: The Alien Factor (1990)
Member Rating:
Making optimum use of its limited budget, this intense, claustrophobic sci-fi/horror film involves the bizarre results of genetic experiments performed by Dr. Foster (George Gerard) for the head of the sinister Talos Corporation. When bitten by the spawn of one of the alien spores contained in the lab, Foster undergoes a horrific transformation and begins stalking anyone unfortunate enough to stray into the facility. This includes the daughter of the creature's first victim (Tara Leigh) and a hitman (Tony Gigante) hired by sleazy Talos director Dr. Viallini (Marcus Powell) to murder anyone privy to the project or its lethal outcome. Ultimately, the survivors must square off against the ever-mutating Foster/thing before it becomes unstoppable. Well-written and sporting some spectacular (and gross) monster effects, this ambitious effort began as a belated sequel to the shoestring cult classic The Deadly Spawn (aka Return of the Aliens). ~ Cavett Binion, Rovi

This was corny and lame, don't waste your time watching it.

A relic from the "gallons of rubber cement" days of SFX. Might appeal to die hard fans of the genre but I found it rough going, not cheezy enough to laugh at but far too wheezy to get into.

If this movie would have been made in the 1950s or 1960s, I would have been considered a great 'B' move. But today, it was so dull I kept falling asleep after 5 minutes. I'm sorry, but this movie was a dead-pan.

Terrible acting, terrible plot, and fx that looked like they were done in the 1960s. I couldn't believe this movie was made in 1990. The person who used his credit card to make this movie did not get his money's worth!

Uh... I didn't actually get this "Metamorphosis" movie. I got a lame version of the Kafka man-to-roach story (without any man-turning-to-roach effects... or, really even any mention of that factor of the story... weird). No captions. ???

This movie has just about anything that a campy movie fan could want; including the oh so important ending that leaves it open for a sequal. It is worth watching for the cheesy claymation scenes alone, if nothing else.

This wasn't too bad, and it will defnitely keep fans of the gory 80's Sci-Fi flicks intrigued. Worth a rent if you're into this genre.
