Naked Weapon (2002)
Member Rating:
Hong Kong action specialist Wong Jing wrote the screenplay for the slam-bang Chiklo Dakgung (Naked Weapon). Madame M (Almen Wong) orchestrates the abduction of 40 different 13-year-old girls from around the world. She trains them as assassins, and in a few years, unleashes them on the world to do her bidding. The most potent of the group turn out to be gymnast Charlene Ching (Maggie Q), kickboxer Katt (Anya), and Jing (Jewel Lee). CIA agent Jack Chan (Daniel Wu) has stayed on the trail of the girls since their disappearance. When he finally catches up to Charlene, Jack is nearly done in by her alluring but deadly qualities. ~ Perry Seibert, Rovi

An asian version of Charlie's Angels with a alot of kick-butt actions by beautiful actresses. Better than "So Close". A perfect saturday movie for guys.

But had some very cruel and brutal scenes against children that i've ever seen in a movie.I'm surprised this story actually made it to production but other than that the action and fight scenes were very entertaining along with not bad acting. Overall though i think the movie SO CLOSE is a lot better.

This movie really had a chance to be really cool but drops the ball in some many ways. From the opening sequence I was expecting something like "The Transporter". Very cool opening fight sequence. It leaves you thinking this thing is going to be action packed. As you watch this you will be saying "Wow, that’s cool!" and then "How stupid!" during the same fight scenes. There is some good acting from the main actresses but some of the lines are just cheesy. The biggest problem is the movie has an identity crisis and slows way-way down in the middle when they try to play off a love story. Then they try to give the ending a twist but it ends up being a really dumb one. It had so much promise...

Sure it sounds fun, half naked girls with guns and more than a hint of lesbian eroticism. But there really is nothing more beyong that except bad acting. Lots of it. And the action is horrible, none of these women are convincing as fighters much less stone-cold assassins. This might not matter in a purposely cheesy semi-comedy like Charlie's Angels, but it's hard not to laugh at the scenes where they try very hard to be dramatic. If you want to see women in action, I'd suggest you check out The Heroic Trio.

Good action sequences, and Maggie Q is nice to look at... other than that, kind of marginal as to whether it was worth the time to watch it.

Very good action, the story is good but the babes make the movie perfect.

A great action flick. It's rare that it done with women and I think they have done a great job. Action sequence is great and it really kicks ass. Yeah whole training camp deal with little girls was kinda cheesy, but man, did it get better. I also love the fact that it was all done in Engligh. From what I hear it was first movie in H.K. to do so.

Heartless bastard Wong Jing outdoes himself this time in the misogynist sweepstakes. Naked Weapon starts out well enough with a ruthless assassination, followed by an equally ruthless tying up of loose ends, so to speak. Fair enough. The film is about female assassins after all, but then Wong Jing goes overboard, piling on the degradation and violence against women past the point of nausea. 'Girls with guns' flicks are supposed to be fun! After all that, the villains had better be despatched in an especially brutal and protracted way, but Wong Jing uses up all his creativity in ways to torture his female protagonists. Despite excellent production values, I can't recommend Naked Weapon.
