Taking home a paycheck that nearly rivals the budget of the first film, Reese Witherspoon reprises the role of Elle Woods in this sequel to 2001's surprise blockbuster Legally Blonde. When she's fired from her job at an upscale law firm for voicing her stance against the testing of cosmetics on animals, Elle heads to Capitol Hill to fight for her cause before Congress, leaving her boyfriend, Emmett (Luke Wilson, reprising his role from the film's predecessor), behind. Once there, she runs into plenty of adversity and red-tape and can't seem to find anyone who will listen to her proposals. While staying at the Watergate hotel though, she meets and befriends an elderly bellman (Bob Newhart in his first theatrical role since 1997's In & Out) who's been around politicians long enough to know the ins and outs of the political machine. With his help, Elle attempts to convince disillusioned U.S. Representative Rudd (Sally Field) to help her get her voice heard in front of the stodgy old coots of the legislative branch. Directed by Charles Herman-Wurmfeld hot off the success of his critically acclaimed indie comedy Kissing Jessica Stein, Legally Blonde 2: Red, White and Blonde boasts a supporting cast led by Jennifer Coolidge (Best in Show, American Pie) and Regina King (Jerry Maguire, Daddy Day Care). ~ Matthew Tobey, Rovi

I loved first Legally Blond but the LB2 was a total disappointment. Maybe the change of director wasn't a good idea or maybe Reese should just stick to acting without pursuing her Executive Producer ideas for the sequel.

The movie has its fleeting moments of laughs and entertainment. However, it seems Elle has gotten dumber and therefore I am dumber for having watched it.

Definitely not as good as the first one or as funny. Jennifer Coolidge's character was not used nearly enough. The supporting cast was dull. Plot was not very realistic or entertaining.

They should have stopped with the first movie. Unfortunatley, enought people forked out perfectly good money to see this flick, they'll probably end up making another. W'll probably see Elle run for President! Give me a break!

We laughed all the way through this movie. We thought that it was of course quite dumb as far as politics go but it Reese played the ditzy blonde quite well, after all it was just the thing our household need.

Good movie, but not as good as the first...At the end of the movie you know that ther will be another sequal to the Legaly Blond collection...I hope it will be as good as the first.

The movie probably was targeting grade school students to teach them how a bill evolve into a law...the last scene of the move, the one when she talks about her getting an appointment in Beverly Hills beauty salon, was the best...else...it was very light and does not appeal to the sophisticated viewer. Just as with the typical American movie, good always wins over evil, which all we know that it’s NOT the case in the real world. These kinds of movies give us a false sense of reality to say the least…

A cute movie with clean contents (except for some homosexuality references that may or may not be appropriate according to what you believe). The only problem is there is no story line really and I agree with reviewer Stephen, in that you should watch the first one again instead of seeing this one.

This movie is one of those feel-good movies! It was just as good as the original. The language wasn't bad at all and Reese Witherspoon is wonderful in this role. This is a movie that I would even allow my 9 year old to see, although she probably wouldn't understand what it is about. I highly recommend it to everyone.
