The second feature from director Michel Gondry (Human Nature) finds the filmmaker reteaming with screenwriter Charlie Kaufman for this off-the-wall romantic comedy. Jim Carrey stars as Joel Barish, a man who is informed that his ex-girlfriend Clementine (Kate Winslet) has had her memories of their relationship erased from her brain via an experimental procedure performed by Dr. Mierzwiak (Tom Wilkinson). Not to be outdone, Joel decides to have the same procedure done to himself. As Mierzwiak's bumbling underlings Stan (Mark Ruffalo) and Patrick (Elijah Wood) perform the operation on Joel -- over the course of an evening, in his apartment -- Joel struggles in his own mind to save the memories of Clementine from being deleted. Kirsten Dunst, David Cross, and Jane Adams also star. ~ Matthew Tobey, Rovi

Verry different! I like that. Not your ususal Jim Carey movie that is for sure. But if you are in the mood to pay attention than I would suggest this movie. LOVED IT! Creepy, crazy, weird, twisted, wacky.

One of our daughter's favorites. This movie takes you into areas never dreamed and shows how precious and powerful one's memory is.

I've always thought that Jim Carrey is a better actor in serious films rather than comedies. This is a good example of this. This is one of the best movies I've ever seen. Very creative. It seemed realistic in its treatment of relationships. I was very touched by their relationship.

A really good movie. The start of the movie is kinda slow but it is very important to the movie and makes sense later on so if you can get through that it is fantastic for there on out. The acting was spot on and the storytelling was impeccable to say the least. I was unsure about this movie before I started it but I am very glad I watched it and would recommend it to anyone.

Interesting movie, never boring but a little weird. It has points to make but not quite as profound as it seems to think. 5 of us saw it: 3 really liked it, 1 thought it was OK, and 1 didn't particularly like it.

This appears to be one of those movies you either hate or love. For me, it was very hard to follow. I didn't expect it to be 'Jim Carey funny' but I expected some humor in there somewhere. I finished it. I don't know how, but I finished it.
