The Dave Matthews Band: Plugging the Gap (2003)
Member Rating:
On the strength of impressive live shows and catchy albums the Dave Matthews Band became one of the biggest acts of the 1990s. This documentary includes interviews and footage of the group at work that, together, paint a portrait of a successful band. The DVD release of this production offers a discography for the Dave Matthews Band and a photo gallery. ~ Perry Seibert, Rovi

I'm just sorry I didn't check these reviews first. I think everyone's comments were "spot-on". I also could not get through the whole thing. How did they even get the picture on the front?

What a disappointment! No original music by the Dave Matthews Band, in a documentary about the Dave Matthews Band! That should have been my first clue. I didn't make it through the DVD either, I sent it back unfinished and put a CD on.

I think any knowledge I had of DMB was erased as my IQ lowered while whatching this... did not even make it half way through before turning it off...

If you are a fan of DMB you should do yourself a favor and get any other DMB DVD. The Central Park Show was one of my favorites, plus I was at that show and it was just a great time. That fun really comes across on the DVD also. Enjoy (not this movie) Just as side note.. There is no DMB music on this DVD. A sentence very similar to that is the first thing that shows up on the screen once you inserted this DVD. What a let down.. This is more along the lines of a VH1 Behind the music gone all wrong (with no DMB music)

Any fan of DMB will learn nothing new from this "film", which looks like it was shot with a hand held video camera. There is absoultely no music from DMB, the interviews of the C'ville locals were uninformative, and I turned it off half way through. It was a real disappointment. Don't watch it!

I love the DMB however this movie is not even made by them. NO DMB music is in the DVD! It is just a bunch of interviews with suposed "friends" of Dave all saying essentialy the same things about him. I wonder if Dave would agree that he is as good a freind with those interviewed as they think they are with him.. Overall this film looks like a college film project on a $200 budget, don't waste your time..
