Carlina Cruz stars as Maricela in this 60-minute TV drama. A 13-year-old illegal Salvadorian immigrant, Maricela moves in with her mother, a live-in maid. While avoiding the authorities, Maricela takes time to ponder the extreme cultural differences between her family and the middle-class brood for whom her mother works. Irene De Bari costars as Maricela's mom, while Linda Lavin plays Irene's social-climbing employer. I am appalled that this movie plays on every emotion to force us to "accept" ALL illegal aliens as helpless victims, so that we will embrace the onslaught of illegals crossing our borders! Don't bother unless you are sympathetic to giving our Country and our rights away as a gift.
