Don't listen to the other reviewers. This film movingly conveys the true tragedy that addiction levies on those who struggle with it. More specifically, it gives a glimpse into the tremendous effort and total paradigm shift that is required in order to be successful in recovering from drug and alcohol abuse. The characters are vivid, tragic, and extremely well portrayed.

Although this film was a bit choppy in parts, it was dead on in the portrayal of addicts and their habits. They are self-centered and whiny; that's what they do best. The unkept apartments, the multiple sex partners, the glazed looks all added to the realism. It isn't something I would watch over again, but it is worth the watch.

I saw this movie in the theater and it was mediocre at best.If you have seen the other drug movie that Val kilmer starred in, you have seen bits and pieces of this. Advice: For this movie dont waste a slot in your Q.

i gave this film a full 20 minutes before throwing in the towel. Could not relate to or sympathize with any of the characters who did little more than rant, rave & throw temper tantrums while supposedly under the influence of drug addiction or on the road to recovery. Dark "sophmoric" comedy? Translates to adults acting like snotty little brats. May appeal to the young and immature audience. Personally, i thought it stunk.
