The tenth film in Paramount's highly lucrative sci-fi franchise is also positioned as the last for the entire original Next Generation crew. En route to the honeymoon of William Riker (Jonathan Frakes) to Deanna Troi (Marina Sirtis) on her home planet of Betazed, Captain Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) and the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise receive energy readings identical to those uniquely emitted by the positronic brain of android crew member Data (Brent Spiner). Upon investigation, they discover the disassembled parts of an identical android named B4, an early prototype of Data himself, now scattered on the surface of a remote world. As they reassemble B4, the crew receives word from Starfleet that a coup has resulted in the installation of a new Romulan political leader, Shinzon (Tom Hardy), who claims to seek détente with the human-backed United Federation of Planets. As commander of the closest starship to Romulus, Picard is ordered there to negotiate with Shinzon. Once in enemy territory, the captain and his crew make a startling discovery: Shinzon is human, a slave from the Romulan sister planet of Remus (the residents of which are vampire-like creatures that dwell on the perpetually dark side of their home world), and has a secret, shocking relationship to Picard himself. It soon becomes clear that Shinzon has lured the Enterprise to Romulus using B4 as bait and that his sinister ulterior motives include the destruction of Earth. A vicious battle between the Enterprise and Shinzon's powerful warship ensues, resulting in heartbreaking heroics and a devastating casualty. Star Trek: Nemesis was written by long-time Trek fan and Oscar-nominated screenwriter John Logan. Regular cast members Michael Dorn, LeVar Burton, Gates McFadden, and Whoopi Goldberg co-star with Ron Perlman, Dina Meyer, and Steven Culp. ~ Karl Williams, Rovi

I really liked this movie except for the ending. The ending was really cheesy. Other than the ending this is a good Star Trek film.

I am a Star Trek fan. This was one of the better in the Star Trek series. It was very, very dark. The plot wasn't the most original, sometimes a bit incongruent, but it's Star Trek. The visual effects are fantastic. The characters are much gutsier than the had been in some other movies.

As a Star Trek fan (seeing the original series when it first aired vs in reruns) I love nearly anything to do with Star Trek. but this one was a good ending to a long runnnig show. I feel it wrapped it up nicely.

started out good, then it seemed to me that the longer it was on the more i just got bored with it. was well done but just not for me i guess. i prefer the original first 3 star trek movies myself.

I enjoyed this final movie. Because I knew it was the last movie, I wanted to see mOre of all the seasons characters (Laforge, Worf, Beverly, etc.). I thought it could of tied up the ending better. The deleted scenes are always good to watch to answer some of the questions that are not addressed in the movie.

As the range of good-to-bad Star Trek products go, this is at the lowest end. I think the only thing worse than suspense going wrong is comedy going wrong (Star Trek V: The Final Frontier). The acting was decent, if over-the-top most of the time. The effects were probably the best Star Trek has ever seen. It was about ten minues of plot and what felt like 20 or so of big ole honkin' space battle -- and then it was over. Nothing much more to say about it, except I seriously hope they're not ending the series with this one.

I will not say this movie is unwatch-able, but watch-able is all I will call it. I consider this to be the worst of all the ST movies. I didn't care much for ST 5, but even it was better than this thing. After ST Insurrection I said if they did not take a 5-10 year break to let ideas and enthusiasm rebuild the next ST movie would be nothing but a hollow shell designed to separate ST fans from their money. That is exactly what this movie is. If you want to see this movie out of curiosity, you will be entertained as long as you don't expect too much.

Just ok, and I'm a die-hard Star Trek fan. Story and ending...seemed like we had done this before, hadn't we? Not original at all. It was just a "something to do" movie.

Rarely has one specific theme held the interest of the general populous as the Star Trek series. Nemesis is an excellent example of the last of a long series of movies that have captured the imagination of a nation. North America is collectively conscious of and even expects that sequels will not be as good as the original. One need only recall TV series such as MASH or I Love Lucy for paragon examples of fine entertainment that has been popular for many years. Nemesis is in their ranks. It is well worth your time to see Nemesis.

This movie has to be the best of the Star Trek's. I liked the story and I liked the action. It was a good battle to see Picard fight Picard. It was just to bad to see the original Data die, he is my favorite character. A definite must watch if you like Star Trek even a little bit.
