The Climb (2002)
Member Rating:
An action-filled adventure drama with conservative Christian overtones, The Climb (2002) tells the story of Derrick Williams (Without a Trace's Jason George) and Michael Harris (Apollo 13's Ned Vaughn), two professional mountain climbers constantly at each other's throats. The men push their lives to the edge -- and test one another's endurance -- when they decide to scale one of the highest peaks in the Chilean Andes. Executive produced by Barry Werner (of Billy Graham's World Wide Pictures) and directed by John Schmidt (Kevin Can Wait, Wait of the World), The Climb co-stars Dabney Coleman, Clifton Davis, and Todd Bridges. ~ Nathan Southern, Rovi

What a great inspirational movie. I have recommened this movie to many people and they all have thanked me. We need more movies like this one. Wouldn't be great if Hollywood could make more meaningful like "The Climb" or "Passion of the Christ".

I loved this movie. It is very well-done, both in acting and storyline. It is about real people who are struggling through this life like everyone else to make some sense of it. It answers questions like, why are we here, where did we come from, what is the purpose of this life? It is a fantastic movie with a sad, but meaningful ending. Gives one hope in a hopeless world and leaves you full of life afterward and strength to climb your own "mountains".

Incredible movie!!! I would recommend this for all family members... parents, teens and young adults. It really drives home a lot of points and is contemporary to today's society. A clear Gospel message without beating you over the head.

This has a great message to our society and especially young people. Character does matter and I think we forget that a lot in this day and age.

Proved that good acting can be found in religiously themed movies, but the ending (or near) did not have to go the way it did.
