It was okay, a bit predictable, but a nice story and the dynamic between Lanie & her sister actually played pretty well (toward the end, not at the start when her sister just came off like a brat). Tony Shalhoub was good in his small role; he sure seems to have a knack for playing that character type (note his series "Monk" and his guest appearance in episode "Soft Light" of the X-Files). My only real complaint is that horrible, horrible hair. Really, what were they thinking??
I think everyone is way too harsh on this film and on Angelina. I am a huge fan of hers, and I love the blonde hair. This movie follows a hugely egotistical reporter, dating a baseball player, who is suddenly told her life is on the wrong path by a profit. Immediatly she needs to turn her life around, or let her fate come true, her fate being death. I love her transformation in this. A definate must see.
Thank god for Tony Shaloub! He was great as usual. Characters played by Jolie and Burns where silly and predictable. Good movie if you're not expecting too much or don't want to think too hard. It does have it's moments.
I'm not a huge Angelina Jolie fan, but I really enjoyed her talent in this movie. Edward Burns does a great job as well. The Boyfriend loved it - he claims because he likes Edward Burns, but I'm sure it has to do with Angelina Jolie too. :)
This is a must see movie. Angelina's charactor faces the question Does she really want it all. Many woman and men run into family or realtionships over career type delymas. This was nicely done.
