Four years after scoring a box-office touchdown with Blade (1998), actor Wesley Snipes returns to portray the Marvel Comics character again in this sequel that teams him with Mexican horror director Guillermo del Toro. A half-vampire, half-human hybrid, Blade (Snipes) is a merciless vampire hunter bent on destroying the bloodsuckers that feed on humanity. The keys to Blade's success are a serum that allows him to resist the urge for blood and an array of inventive, deadly weapons, both of which were once supplied by his mentor, Whistler (Kris Kristofferson). Since Whistler's death, Blade has relocated to Prague and recruited the pot-smoking slacker Scud (Norman Reedus) to take the place of his father figure, but then he discovers that Whistler's not dead after all: He's been infected with the vampire virus. Reunited with Whistler, Blade is dealt an even bigger surprise: His greatest enemy, vampire leader Damaskinos (Thomas Kretschmann), wants to make peace with him. It seems that the vampires are facing a greater threat than Blade and hope to persuade him to fight the Reapers, a mutated super-race of vampires on a rampage of murder, indiscriminately killing both humans and their fellow bloodsuckers while sucking their victims dry. Blade agrees to a truce and joins the Bloodpack, an elite squad of commandos originally formed to fight Blade himself. Soon, the vampire soldiers discover that the virus responsible for creating their enemies is spreading rapidly and can be traced back to a mysterious "Patient Zero." Blade 2 (2002) co-stars Ron Perlman, Leonor Varela, Donnie Yen, and Matt Schulze. ~ Karl Williams, Rovi

Wesley Snipes kick much butt in this movie. It is the best of all three Blade series. It involves action, adventure and horror. Absolutely wonderful. I love it.

If you have seen blade one and enjoyed it you should definately check this sequel out. I strongly feel it is the best of the series and hope you agree. all aspects of this movie where done to there highest level short of humor ( i have to admit the 3rd instalment was funnyer thanks to mr.Renolds but lacked action and story).

LOVE IT! Two words... Luke Goss! He was Amazing as Nomak! By far my favorite character I've seen him play! The opening scene is perfect and very memorable! The Reapers were pretty cool addition to he series! 1 and 2 of the series are the best for sure! :)

This movie deals with 2 very serious issues. The first being Vampire on Vampire crime. The second, can half bloods and full bloods coexist in this world? This movie really opened my eyes. Thanks Blade! Good Action, but the storyline wasn't as good as the first.

Great action, special effects, and gore. Worth a watch for any action movie lovers.

While the movie was far from bad it was far from good as well. I found some of the gore so over the top that it reminded me of a B horror flick. Still the movie was good and just as dark as the first.

Not as good as the first blade but better than the last one. The virus idea was pretty cool, never been done before so it was refreshing to bring a new concept to the tired vampire genre. Pretty gory and the action was good enough to keep you interested throughout

So a movie makes alot of money and you got to make a crap sequel or 10. Del Toro usualy mkes decent films("Devil's Backbone" for one) but this is not one. Make the vampire's have bigger mouths, that will bring 'em in. Part 3 is even worse. -Stone
