I was so glad to come across this film. From the wonderful cinamatography, to the talented performances, to the well-crafted storyline... this film has it all! I watched all 4 & 1/2 hours of it in ONE sitting! Its a "must see" and a "must buy" as well! DON'T FORGET TO ADD *disc 2* TO YOUR MY QUEUE TOO! :)

Part One had enough quirkiness and the characters were interesting enough to get by a rather cumbersome story filled with too much exposition and not enough motivation. Part Two seemed thrown together. It speedily dispenses with characters that were the most interesting. It seemed like the director was late for a date and needed to get the whole thing over with in a hurry.

Pretty faithful to the novels--although Steerpike is too pretty. If you aren't into fantasy of manner types of work avoid this but if your tastes range beyond just sword and sorcery then you might find this delightful.

Cinematography was not wonderful in this movie. It looked worse than a B film. Looks like someone with photoshop and cheap wed design skills threw it together. Lucky for them they had Jonathan Rhys-Meyers in it or I would have turned the movie off in the first 10 mins.

I only watched the first half of disk 1 and returned it. This one was never opened. Awful show.
