I enjoyed this movie. It seems everyone is stuck on award winning performences, solid storylines/plots, sorry this one dont got either. What it dose got is some quirky humor. This wont ever win any awards, but it will make you laugh.
Matt is an average guy who never ends up with the girl. Stuck in an elevator during a power outage one night with an unknown coed, he finds that he can talk to this girl. When he wakes up, he finds himself in love...or at least anxious to repeat the experience. Thus begins his quest to find his elevator lady. In the process, he learns to get in touch with his feminine side, and still manages to remain distinctly male - to the delight of his new girlfriends.
As Matt traipses through the dorm, he meets such characters as the Jane Austen Girls, the Slutty Nice Girl, the Smart Ugly Girl, the Sports Girl, the Perfect Average Girl, and many more. What makes this movie really special is that Matt comes to recognize that these stereotypes hide the true person underneath; what keeps this movie from turning into a sappy chick flick is that Matt retains his masculinity throughout. This isn't a movie about men becoming women - it's a movie about men and women appreciating their differences.
Mature Audiences Only.
This movie is hilarious. Sex jokes were too funny. I say mature because young people might not understand some of the sex jokes.
I did not expect much from this movie, because I never even heard of it before. The ending was such a surprise too.
I enjoyed watching the entire movie. The premise of the movie is weak, but the execution is it's strengh. It is a nice romantic comedy with just about the right amount of sexual content (some nudity and two sex scenes tastefully done). Highly recommend for adults, but skip as a date movie.
I saw it for free on Hulu and was wondering why I never saw this growing up as a teen in the era of American Pie. This would be on the list of classic teen movies I remember. Its a good movie with hella problematic stuff, but I do believe it was too smart for its audience...its got nice neoliberal lessons to learn and critique.
i watched this movie a good 15x. movie is decent at best. but for some odd reason u just cant stop watching over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over .... waiting for naked women
Despite a weak plot and less than Oscar winning perfomances, I enjoyed this movie. It gave a rather witty insight into the minds of men. It's an easy going comedy that's good for a laid back night.
This movie seems to be hit or miss with everyone who watches it but for me I really enjoyed it. Putting aside the fact that the movie has an average plot and average acting it was a step above the usual teen sex comedy. The often rambling nature of the narrator really connected with me and I thought they made a really touching and romantic movie out of what they had. I would definetly recommend this for an at home viewing maybe like me you will enjoy the quirky oddity and earnestness of the movie.
i rented this movie because it was suggested by a friend, but sadly to say i feel it was a waste of time. there was a plot, but the acting was cheesy and average at best. i normally don't like being interrupted from a movie but i was happy to have an excuse to turn it off. anyone looking for a movie with good acting and a movie with an actual point to it should probably skip this one.
