Rodney Dangerfield plays it cute in this comedy directed by veteran director Sidney J. Furie. Dangerfield plays Chester Lee, a man so anxious for a promotion that he agrees to coach a girl's soccer team his company is sponsoring. If the team has a winning season, Chester will get his promotion. The only problem is that Chester knows nothing about soccer and the team is incompetent. If Chester doesn't get his raise he won't be able to marry his sweetheart Bess (Illene Graff), so he persuades his son Matthew (Jonathan Brandis), who is an expert soccer player, to don a wig and join the team as one of the girls. With Matthew on the team, they make their way to the championship, but Bess discovers the ruse and forces Chester to chose between her and the job. ~ Paul Brenner, Rovi

If you love Rodney Dangerfield, you'll love this movie! It's full of classic Dangerfield's "I get no respect" one-liners. Family movie; fun to watch for all ages. My advice is: watch it! P.S. And if you really love Rodney Dangerfield, check out his autobiography. Very easy read and a must for all Rodney fans.

My sisters and mom dragged me to this movie when it was first released in theaters (I had wanted to see the much "cooler" comedy "Wayne's World") but found myself actually enjoying this film, and over the years it's become a favorite of both myself and my mom & sisters. So we were pretty excited that it finally made it to DVD. Sadly there are no real extras to speak of, but it's still fun to watch the movie again and I've already added it to my personal library :) Anyway, late great comedian Rodney Dangerfield gets to do his "I don't get no respect!" schtick once again- plus we get double entendres aplenty, a sassy Jackee as Rodney's asst. coach, preteen boys in drag, some very quotable one-liners and Rodney and Jackee doing a duet of "Great Balls of Fire"- honestly, what's not to love?

This movie is directed at the 15-30 age group, with a predictable plot that has many decent laughs in it

Well, if you keep starin in moves like this one it is only common to get no respect. This movie is not worth the queue or rental. It did not make me laugh the first time and I use to like Dangerfield.

PREDICTABLE AND UNFUNNY. I DON'T KNOW HOW ANYONE COULD MAKE RODNEY DANGERFIELD NOT FUNNY BUT THEY DID HERE. RENTING THIS ONE IS A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME.
