Knightriders (1981)

Knightriders may well be the only cycle flick ever to be played out in suits of armor. A hardcase motorcycle gang led by Ed Harris has found itself a neat money-making gimmick. Dressed as the knights of the round table, the cyclists pick up a few bucks at local "renaissance" fairs, selling handicrafts made by the more talented members of the gang. Harris' great rival is Tom Savini, who has his own band of "black knights." Keep an eye out for a chucklesome unbilled bit by novelist Stephen King. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

Not a pollished or refined film, but a decent story, echoing the tragedy of Camelot within the modern (then 70-80's) society. I liked the idea, thought the majority of the story was well done as a 'rough' re-interpertation of chivalry. The motorcycle 'ren-faire' was fun to watch, and the cameo by the Steven and Tabitha King was humorous as well.

Give it a chance. Bike-knights? It may sound crazy but the result is amazing. Good story, great cast and plenty of action without any current-sucking-tricks/fakes. I'm not a big fan of Romero's zombie art, actually I hate it. But he scored with this lovely-lost-little classic.

It seemed like a great story line, but the movie itself was HORRIBLE!!!!! The movie was 2 hrs long and i watched the whole thing, I cant get those 2 hours of my life back that I wasted on such a horrible movie!! Save yourself!

Since my guy's a Harley rider AND we love renn faires, it was totally awesome to see the 2 mixed this way and we were left wishing this kind of thing was still going on. We were a bit amazed to see Stephen King cameoed in this and some of his fav actors (Ed Harris (Hank) and Warner Shook (Richard) in 'Fathers Day' short in Creepshow) starring as well. It was a great fantasy film but also a good, if a bit predictable drama.

About 120 minutes longer than it should have been.

I liked the plot. I would have enjoyed the film more, but it kept freezing. I finally made it through & would suggest a non-marred version to friends.

This was a movie well past its prime. It may have been cute 25 years ago, but now it is dumb and dumber. Poor plot and even poorer jousting!

This is absolutely the worst movie I have ever seen. Anyone that thinks this is good has got to be on some serious drugs. It was a long drawn out story about a cult leader's insanities.
