The movie is certainly entertaining considering when it was made (1993). However, the title itself is misleading by the writers. Jason doesn't actually go to Hell until much much later and the movie never takes place there. The idea of his demonic spirit being able to possess the bodies of those whom he infects physically and psychologically is thrilling. The commentary portion on the DVD is enjoyable though with the director, writer and producers all discussing how the movie was made and what set it apart from the other Jason movies.

Possession? Cmon guys. We're really reaching to make a sequel here. The story of how Jason is immortal connected with supernatural worship and that bounty hunter guy - pretty bad. Watch the unrated version though - better gore. This still had some entertaining parts though.

This was a horribly lame sequel in which I believe JAson is in the film for about 15 minutes! His soul jumps around people now? Ooh thank goodness for the news update. Come on! NOT RECOMMENDED

This is the most retarded Jason movie ever. Jason melted at the end of Part 8, in a freaking sewer in New York. So how in the hell is he even at the beginning of this movie walking around? S T U P I D

I'm not a jason fan, and this is the nineth intallment. I just like the first 4, and the seventh is so so. This is the worst jason movie. This movie doesn't even have Jason as a main character. Just his soul or something. Part 5 didn't even have Jason in it at all. Just some retard pretending to be him. But anyway, If you are a Jason fan, you may like this one, but only if youre a die hard fan of the series. Guess what... this has awaful acting! What a freakin' surprise. I'm surprised these didn't go straight to DVD, like the last 4 hellraisers, and those are way better than all 10 jason movies.
