Survivor: Season One - The Greatest and Most Outrageous Moments (2000) Reviews

Survivor: Season One - The Greatest and Most Outrageous Moments (2000)
Member Rating:
Survivor was that rare television show that grew into a genuine pop-culture phenomenon; it became the highest-rated summer series in the history of American television, and the only program broadcast in 2000 to draw a larger audience than Survivor's final episode was that year's Super Bowl. Survivor: Season One - Greatest and Most Outrageous Moments compiles two-and-a-half hours of footage from the series, presented uncensored for the first time (language that was bleeped and nudity that was blurred for broadcast is featured here in all its R-rated glory), including previously unseen outtakes, audition reels from the participants, all the tribal council meetings (and the often angry reactions of those voted off the island), and the notorious rat-eating sequence. The video also includes interviews with Mark Burnett, creator of Survivor, and Jeff Probst, the show's host. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi

It highlights each of the members who were voted off in order. It shows a lot of behind the scenes stuff but nothing revieling (like showing the camera men, producers, etc.) So basically it's like another episode of Survivor that goes for about 2 hours. The music and everything is setup like an episode so if you're a survivor fan, you'll enjoy this. Jeff Probst also shares a lot of tidbits about his thoughts and experiences. Worth getting :-)

I enjoyed this very much. Maybe even more so after watching and loving this hit series. This was different in that it covered the whole season. You got to see it from beginning to end unlike the other DVD where you are left hanging until you get the next DVD. Is that part of the thrill? Maybe But this was good because it gave a good show and enough of the Survivor experience to see more. It did not allow for deep character development as the other shows and of course many things have changed in terms of the show and how it works now. I think its a great way to get stated or to see how the show was at the inception, either way! Its always fun to watch people!

Dissapointment is my first thought. I am a hugh Survivor fan and have watched every season. I had hoped for and expected more. But it was great to reconnect with many of my favorites players and see the birth of a great show.

Interesting to compare the way the game was "played" the first time and the way it is played today. Problem is that you must watch a couple of the most stupid players that have "played the game".

I was expecting more of the behind the scene stuff, maybe outakes or bloopers or something like that. It said that it had the Greatest and Most Outrageous Moments, but maybe I missed them.

do not buy a single word of the description. There is NO NUDITY besides a 10 second view of richards ass. Same as watching the series on the show besides the language. oh yeah and no its not worth wasting your time to hear some bad language.
