An aspiring musician becomes one of the most famous bartenders in New York in this high-spirited comedy-drama. Small-town girl Violet Sanford (Piper Perabo) dreams of making a name for herself as a singer and songwriter, so she moves to New York City in hopes of landing her big break. Needing to support herself until stardom rolls around, she takes a job as a barmaid at a new nightspot called Coyote Ugly, where the owner Lil (Maria Bello) and the staff of attractive young women dance on the bar, flirt with the mostly male clientele, sing along with the jukebox, and goad the customers into matching them shot for shot. Soon, local media pick up on the bar's success, turning the staff into unexpected celebrities, a situation that presents its own set of problems. A lot of fun with constant action - definitely more of a guy movie than a chick flick! No academy awards but still entertaining.

OK. Cliche chick flick. See FLASHDANCE for something better. The LeAnn Rimes songs over the credits may be the best part on a good Blu-ray 5.1 system. Piper's cute, but the dry hump love scene is peculiar. What guy would go for that, even if it's in the contract? Maria Bello makes every movie better, this one included.

this movie is a great movie to watch . I really love watching this movie. I want to buy it but I can't find it anywhere to buy it . I was going to buy it from blockbuster but this movie is not available for purchase. I tried columbia house and they dont have it either. i cant find the movie anywhere to buy it. this is a great movie to own if you can find it to buy it.

The guys will like the dancing chicks on the bar and the guys pouring water all over themselves. The girls will like the romance story. If you're a screenwriter, or work in Hollywood in script development - don't rent this film. The dialog is awful and the story is more then predictable. But, it's entertaining and the lead is cute. Hey, what more do you want?

Piper & Adam are priceless as lead roles and music by Leann R. makes it even better -- all in all its a unisex movie for all to view and have fun while watching over and over again --a feel good movie for all ages, don't judge just enjoy ..

I didn't know dogs could use razor blades? Actually to come and find out they can and quite perfectly I might add. Side though have you ever noticed that America seperate's there harry from non- harry? Except wealthy foreigners who come to america for just this reason besides the fact that we've already been sold out to people in this exact industry? To bad we can't slip cyanide rufie's to who ever own's these types of movies, I mean we got the technology for it. America with all it's b.s. about well being love's there drunks and whore's.
