Stonecutter's beautiful cover turned out to be a deceptive first impression for the drive-by visual shopper (like me) looking and hoping for a quality time movie. I like trying new things, but my not-so-magnanimous 14 year-old daughter was laughing so hard at this movie's lack of appeal (or story, or compelling music, or . .anything) that her face turned purple. When she finally quieted down enough for me to hear the movie dialogue, I realized there was none. Oh well. Chalk up another one under Mom's-lame-movie-list. Better luck next time. (I hope.) Lesson learned: You can not judge a movie by its cover.

you should take the movie out of your vault. It was boring and dumb. Narrator throughout the movie was so boring.

This is more of a narrated tale. I watched about 30-40 mintues then had to shut it off. I could find nothing in this to keep me watching. I was quite disappointed in it. Mabye someone who watches the whole thing will have more to add.

Horrible Movie!! My 9 year old and I talked through the whole thing and made fun of it. We kept saying,"it's about to get good" and shockingly it never did!!! I can't imagine who this would appeal to except maybe someone very interested in Folklore. Please don't waste your time!!

I was so eager to do this review it's not even funny. The stonecutter was so bad I cried with laughter. It was boring as talking to a wall. I would reccomend this movie/pice of crap to someone who likes watching a blank screen. If you rent this movie I guarentee you will yawn and maybe fall asleep. I almost turned it off. i'lle bet they spent more time on the cover than the movie, it's true the cover is better than the movie.

The scenery was great, and the message that he loved his family. The acting was poor. Why did that little girl keep popping up?

This film has great "family film night" potential. I saw it alone, but would highly recommend it to family viewers. The story almost reminded me of the basic values "The Family Man" with Nicholos Cage, Just The Stonecutter is more fairytaleish. Sponsored

I'm sorry but they could do so much better than having like the whole thing narrated. I couldn't keep interest and just turned it off and took it back. The narrator was monotone at that! Do the filmmakers realize if you want it to be for a family, kids have short attention spans (while I don't have kids, I can't IMAGINE any sitting through it)?
