Casper Van Dien, Ernie Hudson, Jenny McShane and Bentley Mitchum star in this thriller about a marine biologist doing research at a facility off the coast of Africa. Hammerhead sharks have long been a presence to be respected in local waters, but now they've started attacking people without reason -- apparently for fun. While superstitious locals fear demonic possession is to blame, the biologist thinks this may be the results of experiments performed by a former colleague turned rival. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi

The movie is called Shark Attack but surprisingly there are not very many shark attacks. This film is more of an action movie with stock footage of sharks thrown in. So if you are renting this movie for a gory nature gone crazy horror film you might be disappointed. Overall you are probably going to be better off renting the jaws series. The special features are trailers for Shark Attack and King Cobra.

While not much in the way of shark attacks, the movie still manages to be entertaining. Casper Van Dien plays a very good hero and Ernie Hudson makes a good greedy villain. Worth the rental.

A little lame, but my family and I do B movie night on Fridays. This fit the bill maybe 15 minutes to long. Shark Swarm may be better.

This is a very poor attempt to rip off the wonderful instant classic in the shark genre "Deep Blue Sea". On the up side Casper Van Dien was at his peak in the acting department, but sadly it still is more painful to watch him act than pissing razor blades.
