For a tv movie this is very good, except the part where the wife of the firefighter is made out to be a whineing child who can't handle anything.Just like the part in all the movies where the woman trips and falls, always.but i enjoyed the movie other wise and would like to own it.

A plot full of holes, bad acting, fairly nice special effects. It's your classic "volcano" or "core" type of disaster movie where the problem is huge and nobody knows what to do, yet somebody is much more on top of things than everybody else and saves the world...or Dallas in this case.

I first saw this movie on the Sc Fy channel. It is a good afternnon movie and family friendly. I would agree Anne Marie Thompson who I really liked in "The Heat of the Night" TV series plays a hysterical wife for someone in the public saftey field is the low point. Again don't look for big budget anything here, but a fun afternoon flick.

This is one of my favorite movies to watch over and over again. Annabella Sciorra gave a good performance in this movie as well in her other movie "Jungle Fever". Michael Biegn was good as well. But i love his performance in "The Abyss"
