When Golobulus (Burgess Meredith) and Cobra plot to eliminate mankind and repopulate the world with a vicious race of ancient reptilians, it's up to Duke and company to prevent them from acquiring the technology that will enable them to do so in this feature-length adventure based on the classic cartoon series. Centuries after being driven underground during the ice age, the Cobralas are back, and ready to reclaim the planet. They've developed a plant with spores that possess the power to drain humans of their life force, but the only way they can get the spores to mature is by using the Broadcast Energy Emitter - a revolutionary device with the capability to provide enough energy for the entire planet. As Duke sinks into a deep coma following a fierce fight on the battlefield, Lt. Falcon (Don Johnson) rises to the challenge of leading the Joe team on their most important mission to date. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

My 5yr loves GI Joe and he likes this one way better than Cobra vs Venom. This one is less violent and his rating on this is awesome!

If you are a fan of GI Joe and you haven't seen this movie, you should see it, mainly for two reasons, not to give away too much but, someone very important dies, and you get to see the face of Cobra Commander. Not to mention Golobulus and Nemesis Enforcer.

For whatever reason. I had to go to the setup menu and select a playback format before I could choose play on the main menu.

Not nearly as good as I remember as a kid. This is a must see for any avid G.I. Joe fan and way better than The Rise of Cobra.

Action Packed and fun. Although animated, the imagination of a child knows no bounds. The heroes to protect and defend are real.

This movie was okay insofar as entertainment value is concerned but it's not something that I would go out of my way to see a second time around. Some G. I. Joe fans might say otherwise but once was enough for me. Atlhough I must admit the artwork and animation were pretty good. And the fact that I was asked to write this review almost two weeks after I returned it (maybe I should charge a late fee) but can still remember the story says something about the plot. Chris G.

It was hard to review this version of the film (BLU-RAY) as it was in 2 pieces when I received it. It is a good movie though. Burgess Meredith makes a ridiculous character believable.

First, if you are looking for a cartoon to amuse your children, and do not know or care about this version of G.I. Joe, you will find what you want here, though it is slightly more graphic than you might expect. If you are a fan of the original comic run by Larry Hamma (the man who created most of the characters) avoid this at all cost. Its greatest sin is that it is boring to a painful degree. Beyond that, there is a convoluted, unnecessary change made to the character of Cobra Commander involving snake people, a central focus on the very milquetoast Lt. Falcon, and a critical injury for Duke, who seems to need to have a critical injury every now and then when the plot runs aground. It is just poorly written, poorly conceived and a spit in the face to fans of what was an exceptionally written book. Rent season one of the original show instead and protect the sanctity of your childhood memories.

This is the best movie to take shrooms too. Every time they say cobra la-la-la, it's so intense, its a f-bombin blast. If you dont like this movie you r gay and u your born in the 90's.
