I was almost a bit embarrassed when my wife saw the puppets in the first scene and asked what I was watching. I explained the show to her and told her this was something we watched in elementary school and about how much we all loved it. She told me she had never heard of the show before, so I guess she missed out. Although the show is dated, the message of diversity is still presented very well - even for the kids today, as my kids even enjoyed watching it. I think what makes this show so great is that each segment is just long enough to tell the story and get the message across without boring the audience it was intended for. A variety of music and animation is used in some segments, and although the material is dated it is still appealing for all ages.

Have loved this album/cd/video/dvd since I was a child. The DVD is obviously dated, but it sure was fun to watch. Very positive and encouraging to children.
