Foxes details the exploits of four teenage San Fernando Valley girls as they drink, dope and sleep their way into oblivion. Jeanie (Jodie Foster, in a standout performance), the most grounded of the quartet, deals with her burned-out working-student-mother (Sally Kellerman, also excellent) while playing mother to her cohorts; Annie (Cherie Currie), a promiscuous drug-vacuum, attempts to dodge her psychotic police officer-father while partying round the clock; Madge (Marilyn Kagan), an overweight tag-along, who tries desperately to fit in with her wilder friends; and Deirdre (Kandice Stroh); an insecure liar and also-ran. While the performances (particularly the aforementioned) are good, and the direction is solid, the script doesn't seem to go anywhere; maybe that's the point, though, since neither do the characters in their vacuous, instant-gratification-based existences. ~ Jeremy Beday, Rovi

If you are a Jodie Foster fan you will like this movie. Scott Baio's character is the male friend that the girls love to be around, but would never date. Jodie Foster's character is the only sane one of the group. Cherie Curie does a great performances as the promiscuous, drug addict...but once you are introduced to her dad you will understand why her character is the way she is. . . This movie will have you laughing and crying. But it's one of those movies you watch when you have nothing else better to do.

Foxes was a good movie if you like the back in the day environment. The girls were truly good friends and this movie was very real because it showed the way different friends lives can turn. A must see a lesson to be learned.

I watched more that 30 minutes that I usually cut off bad movies at hoping for something to wake this film, for it was listed as a top 100 movie. What garbage, acting, horrid, makes me wonder how some of these people moved up to more films. Story, ridiculous, dialogue horrid. I mean this film is just a bad.
