Michael J. Fox stars as Doug Ireland in this romantic comedy about a brash concierge at a swanky New York hotel who always makes it a point to go out of his way for the hotel guests. But Doug doesn't want to be a concierge forever. What he would really like to do is build a swanky hotel of his own, and all he needs is $3 million to do it. When haughty and patronizing tycoon Christian Hanover (Anthony Higgins) comes to the hotel for a rendezvous with his mistress Andy Hart (Gabrielle Anwar), Doug sees the opportunity to convince Christian to invest the $3 million in his dream of a hotel. So, Doug willingly agrees to baby-sit Andy when Christian has to leave her to see his wife. But the more time he spends with Andy, the more affectionate he feels toward her, until finally he has fallen in love with her. Now Doug must make a choice concerning what he really wants -- his dream of a hotel or the love of Andy. ~ Paul Brenner, Rovi

No one but Michael could deliver this role! I have been a fan since his series as a brilliant reen. He is terrific supported with a fun cast of characters, especially the senior bellman! I sooooo enjoyed this movie!

The movie was decent, but nothing to go out of your way for. The plot was good and the characters were good. I liked the movie up untill Doug and Andy go to Christian's party. The entire movie was good but i thought that it was funny and enjoyable up untill that point. The movie had a predictable ending. I LOVE Michael J. Fox and he is my all time favorite actor but this movie was just not as good as his others. Andy was pretty annoying at times (Whining about everything) she made me want to kill her. Doug is the person that will get you anything you want and is a saint at times. If you seem interested, by all means go see it but is not something to go out of your way for. It comes on HBO a lot so just save your money and watch it there. The movie had a good lesson and a good message. It makes you think "What would i do? Would i choose love, or money?" Anyway, it was a decent flick but nothing to go out of your way for

Another romantic comedy starring Michael J. Fox. Though not as well known as his others, it does have a decent plot and the characters are endearing. It probably wouldn't have come off so well had it not been for Gabrielle Anwar- who does naive and alluring and caring as if she wasn't acting at all. Anwar probably kept this movie from looking like some Secret of My Success clone.
