Postel (1998) Reviews

Postel (1998)
Oskar Reif made his directorial debut with this Czech comedy drama about Lubosh (Michael Przebinda), who realizes women have dominated his entire life since his childhood when his father abandoned the family. Lubosh dies, and a courtroom of women pass judgment on his Earthly existence. Filmed in black-and-white, the tale is an allegory on life, politics, and sex. Shown in the Critics Week section at the 1998 Cannes Film Festival. ~ Bhob Stewart, Rovi
