This movie isn't for the brain trust, and yes you can see most twists about an hour before they happen, but the mix of humor and action worked well in this movie. The acting worked, is the best way to describe it since it wasn't even close to wonderful acting, but together it fit with the movie to make it enjoyable if not 100% believable... Good Movie!!

It takes a peculiar grade of talent to turn the camp and cheese in what can be panned as a 'crappy' film into a bearable or, hell, even enjoyable experience. The 90s certainly was a well of content, films that were stuffed with over-the-top bells and whistles with tongue-in-cheek presentation, that, while goofy in nature, still made a conscious effort to entertain. Stallone's 'Judge Dredd', on the other hand, isn't made up with the right stuff to make 'camp' equal 'fun' in this equation. Blame the hilariously toy-looking armory the Judges wield. Blame Armand Assante's cartoony bombast as the main villain. Or rest the sole blame on Rob Schneider. Nobody would blame you. Either way, Judge Dredd is laugh-inducing farce for the wrong reasons - or the right, depending on your taste.
