I saw this movie in the theaters as a kid, and I still enjoy watching it. Its not splashy, there's no language or situations you need to be concerned about, it just a good-feeling, happy ending movie. Note the personality changes when the bell tolls. Worth watching again with your kids.

Want to understand why people who are Disney fans think of the time between when Uncle Walt died and Michael Eisner and his associates took over as a dark age? Then I recommend watching this non-event movie in which Disney managed to waste not 1, but 2 superior talents. If Bill Cosby were any more wooden, he would catch fire in scenes in Hell. I'm sure Elliott Gould would also like to forget his superficial performance. Not that either had much of a script or a plot to work from. The plot premise is that Cosby offers Gould a Get Out of Hell Free card after Gould dies and winds up in Hell. The catch is that Gould has to get 3 specified minors to literally sign over their souls. Bad theology aside, the plot sounded promising. However, don't be taken in like I was. Or if you can't resist, rent a copy of the Black Cauldron or the Black Hole for a Disney turkey double-feature.
