Not as good as the previous movies. Most importantly, this movie failed to make a surreal connection to the first two movies because the original Robocop we got so used to in the first two movies is not there .Even though he makes a stunning entrance at the start of the movie, it was disappointing to find out that the original actor playing Robocop is gone! They replaced Robocop's original Peter Weller with this other guy. He does not look like the old Robocop nor does he sound like him either. To those of us who grew attached to the original Murphy and his sad and haunting past and then his recent sudden-new acquired human likeness present in the last movie when he stated, we're only human, this Robocop seems to have forgotten that and so has everyone else. Even his female partner calls him by his branded name in the beginning of the movie. In this film, Robocop is back to being emotionless and when acquiring sensitivity, it is like a whole new experience again.

Half the cast must've been on Law & Order at some point in their career. Maybe it was to atone for this horrible movie. I'm guessing the bad script kept Peter Weller from returning to play Murphy. Two years earlier T2 showed off great FX work. This movie seems to have been produced in Russia by comparison. Add to that the bad direction, worn-out plot, and poor acting throughout - especially from actors who have done better prior and after. Not all movies need sequels. By the way, Japanese-bashing was so 80s. Reading the other reviews will make you hate it even more.
