This movie is an excellent example of spending so much money on special effects nothing was left over for plot, story, character development, ... Other working titles were "Six characters in search of a Plot", "Hey, we didn't explode that building yet" and "Adventures of people who are concerned about sexual relationships when the earth is being invaded by brain-sucking aliens". This is a must see for the vacuous of the world. It's a great movie to watch when you're really busy doing something else and don't want to follow it...at all. One wonders "What didn't they make that this got funded?" Also, this is an excellent movie for viewers who want to figure out which character will scream next. You can point at the people (they didn't hire actors) on the screen and say "She will. No, he will. No, it will." Lastly, at what point did the movie makers realize they only had enough money left for running credits, so to heck with any climax, resolution and closure? See it...NOT!

Amazing how the same crowd that raves about Transformers or Battleship hates this movie. My guess is, they hate it because "we" don't win. Sad to say this, but it seems that in this country we have to see the USA always coming out victorious in any sci-fi movie. It's a good movie, and for a low-budget movie, pretty amazing.
