I enjoyed this version. The first scene was fantastic! However the whole modern dress thing was not doing it for me. Too much metal for the Underground scene. It was enjoyable, but modern, and if you prefer it the way it was supposed to be done, I'd suggest the Metropolitan Opera version with their Otto-Shenck production.

This is a fascinating, well performed production, although I also prefer more traditional offerings, such as that provided by the Metropolitan Opera.
