Saw this last week, one of the problems with Richie is he shows you exactly what Holmes is going to do and think, and he does it is slow motion sequences, so you understand it. Not unlike the first film. Huge Holmes fans of tradition may find this insulting. I don't feel it is necessary for every endeavor. It is too precise, and the slow motion near misses are exhausting. However, it does have a nice chess match story and it will entertain you. There are some liberties he takes with Holmes's novels, but it is entertaining. I felt the story was much improved than the first in the challenges Holmes faces, but the resolution that is not seen, despite its surprise was enjoyable. The best scene is in the final confrontation between Holmes and Moriarty (watch that shoulder), but I thought Richie's use of McAdams was too short. It served a purpose, but I felt a more impacted moment was lost. It is a fun evening if you can handle slow mo, whether at home or at the movies.

World's better than the first Sherlock Holmes with Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law! Action packed! Full of intrigue and fun and great effects. Don't wait until it comes out on DVD. Go see it in the theaters for the full effect!

This movie is full of action and humor. The storyline is better than the first movie. The use of slow motion is a over-used, but it does provide an explanation for those that are a little slow to get it. This movie is very entertaining.
