If you want to get your horror on, this movie starts out a little slow - interesting, but slow. Be patient though, because when Anthony Hopkins turns his evil on his evil is Sooooooo goood! Makeup special effects were good in this movie as well.

The movie is not bad at all. It's certainly not one of the very best, but it is still very good for a horror flick. Horror fans will not be disappointed. The classic story line: a young priest becomes a believer in The Devil and, thus, God. Hopkins is terrifying and elevates a so-so movie into a much better one. Yes, I'd recommend seeing it both at the movies and on dvd.
