Director Paul Feig and producer Judd Apatow team up again for this comedy that stars Kristen Wiig as Annie, a romantically unattached failed bakery owner who fears she's losing her BFF, Lillian (Maya Rudolph), the best thing in her life, when Lillian announces she's gotten engaged. Annie's anxieties deepen as Lillian grows close to Helen (Rose Byrne), a wealthy and beautiful new friend who quickly assumes control of planning all the pre-wedding festivities. On top of the main storyline of a female friendship being torn apart, the movie adds a romantic storyline for Annie, who starts the film answering a booty call from the casually cruel yet undeniably handsome Ted (Jon Hamm), but develops a lovely flirtation with an Irish cop named Rhodes (Chris O'Dowd) after he pulls Annie over one night thinking she's driving drunk. As the low-self-esteem Annie sabotages this new possibility for love, she also feels the most important friendship in her life slipping away. ~ Perry Seibert, Rovi

not funny, although they tried to make the foul-mouth, foul-situations funny. ultimately it's a movie for early teenage girls dreaming of marriage, except it's so disgustingly foul that they shouldn't be watching it anyway. don't miss the diarrhea in the sink scene girls!! what a colossal waste of time.

I am a woman. On NO level was this is movie funny or even amusing. I was embarrassed for the actors to be in such a film. I enjoyed The Hangover - why because it was FUNNY. Gender has nothing to do with comedy. As a woman, it ticks me off that "they" keep saying it is THE defining female comedy movie. If you want a recent funny female movie, see "The Sweetest Thing." Unfortunately, the female leads are prettier than the Bridesmaids, and Hollywood doesn't like to give awards to pretty people - but guess what. It's actually FUNNY!

To Helen D., Rebecca and Robert B., AND Johnny H.I sat through this unfunny movie also.I could not agree more with you B.B. members.I sure don't know how this really bad script got so many best comedy I have ever scene reviews.Maybe I'm to old to get the humor in these type of cookie cutter comedy's.It's too bad the true funny movies of the past would not get the attention today as they did back in the 60's and 70's .Good for us through, we can watch them over and over at home. Here is a list of a few comedies from the past that some of you might enjoy."It's a mad mad mad mad world", No Time for Sergeants,"Young Frankenstein", "Blazzing Saddles", "Take the money and Run", "Where's Poppa", "Razing Arizona",and "1941".Try these films on for size, and see if the comedies from the past were better than what the studio's are putting out today. Enjoy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
