This had the potential to be a scary movie, but where was the lighting? It was so dark, you could hardly see what was going on. I guess that was to make up for the lack of special effects. Amy Smart is in the movie, but you can't see her. They could have developed the story and given more thought into how the dead/zombies came to be. Oh, its the seventh month and a full moon--dead people roaming around in China. Note to self: don't go to china in July on a full moon. 2.5 stars.

Terrible movie. About 15 min of story the rest was either so dark you couldn't see what was going on or what seemed like endless schenes of nothing. Could have been a good horror movie but they blew it.

If this is supposed to be a horror film it would have been nice to have seen the horror. But since the lighting is so poor in 90% of the movie, you're left guessing as to what's happening onscreen. As a result, it's likely you'll be thinking more about when to push the DVD player's eject button. The acting, directing, writing, cinematography and sound were at the level of a low budget, Fangoria type movie. The handheld camera work is so unsteady as to make the film nearly unwatchable. It was like the camera operator was sitting on a paint shaker throughout the entire movie. The majority of the Chinese dialogue is not subtitled. The English dialogue was stereotypical of Western foreigners - loud, foulmouthed and on a fifth grade level. The 5.1 Dolby Digital audio option made minor use of surround sound. As for extras, there's a trailer for the movie, three uninteresting featurettes, a director and lead actress commentary and trailers for other equally bad movies. Not recommended.
