In this outing from Aardman Animation, Wallace has converted his home into a granary complete with a fully functional, old fashioned windmill (patent pending) on the roof, and as a result "Top Bun" has become one of the hottest bakeries in town. But all is not well in the neighborhood, because more than a dozen local bakers have gone missing in the last few months alone. Now, as Wallace falls head over heels for former Bake-O-Lite bread girl Piella Bakewell (voice of Coronation Street star Sally Lindsay), Gromit attempts to solve the case of the missing bakers before his hapless master becomes the latest dough-roller to vanish without a trace. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Excellent! Tired of the same tired, crude, and/or predictable situation comedies? Watch Wallace & Gromit and Shaun the Sheep! Good fun for all ages - and I mean ages 2 to 82. If 30 minutes doesn't seem long to you, try making claymation characters with as much expression and personality as Wallace & Gromit. Whew! Years of practice and talent by the truckload!

As with their previous feature film (Curse of the Were-Rabbit), we were less entertained than by the original shorts, which had good story lines and were laugh-out-loud funny. Also, like Were-Rabbit, the move to feature-length has brought with it less kid-friendly humor, which we don't appreciate. All in all, Loaf was just so-so. Decide for yourself, but we'll stick with the original shorts.

Wallace and Gromit still continue the success in A Matter of Loaf and Death. This animated short film is possibly better than the other Wallace and Gromit short films. This animated short is thunderously cool and visually outstanding!
