If one believes the sophisticated Long Calendar created by the ancient Mayans of Central America, the end of the world will occur on December 21, 2012. But what exactly will happen on that date? Will it be a global apocalypse that wipes out the entire human race, or perhaps a rebirth of consciousness that leads to an exciting new era for all of humankind? Visit any number of websites devoted to the topic, and you're likely to get just as many different opinions on what the end date truly means for life on planet Earth. Perhaps the scientists are correct, and it will be the culmination of all the natural disasters we hear about on the nightly news. But how much of this is science, and how much is superstition? Follow along as leading scientists, researchers, and writers reveal precisely what that fateful date means to them, and what we can all do to prepare for the worst. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Okay.....so the world will blow up next year...the sun flairs will boil the seas and all the fish....the plague will devour most of the world's population....the atomic bomb will annihilate whose ever left....what's left of the earth will be destroyed by meteors....but hey, do you think I AM WORRYING ? I got "American Idol" to watch next week - - I'm happy ! (Besides, this show got so technical in all its scientific mumbo-jumbo and New Age Hokus Pokus that I almost turned it off ! TALK ENGLISH, PEOPLE !!)

No hollywood hype here, just scientists and experts discussing their views on the Mayan calendar, astrology, astronomy, and climate change. It is informative and interesting.
