Not only is Gene Wilder great (as always), but the entire supporting cast is equally entertaining. There are many many clever gags, both visual and verbal. The story line is clever (and sweet, in a touching manner). And the entire experience is extremely rewarding. You're sure to remember this film for a long time. (Contemporary films of equal caliber include the Mel Brooks classics of the same time frame.)
