The 2nd season of Torchwood seems to focus even more on the interpersonal relationships between its main cast members than the 1st. It also seemed to me like there was a bit less exposition in each episode, making them a bit less repetitive. This is rewarding if you watched the 1st season, but probably makes it a bit harder to follow if you hadn't. Otherwise, it's more of the same - for better or worse. For those not into DVD extras, you might want to avoid renting the 5th disc in the DVD set. It doesn't contain any actual Torchwood episodes, but rather the entire season of Torchwood Declassified: 10-15 minute documentary segments (one for each Torchwood episode) that focus on themes of the show and offer behind-the-scenes footage of stunts and special effects.

I was surprised when I read everyones reviews on this show. Torchwood is like a cross between a serial drama and x-files; and although there is a lot of sexuality it adds to the storyline and makes sense to what the habits of people are like now day. The show is poignent in many ways and allows you to explore your own beliefs about the human condition. It's well written and is extra fun if you're familiar with the recent Dr Who storyline as characters cross shows frequently. It's a fun show and I enjoyed being able to sit down and watch it almost all @ once since there aren't as many episodes as American series.

John Barrowman has the cutest smile. But besides that, the stories are good and keep your interest. It can make the most analytical of minds stop and think for a minutes, "Could this be real?" This is my third time watching it. I really like it.
