Voyage 'Round My Father (1984)
Member Rating:
John Mortimer's autobiographical play Voyage 'Round My Father was given a class-A TV adaptation in 1984. Mortimer, best known for his Rumpole of the Bailey stories, has fashioned an unexpurgated but affectionate portrait of his highly eccentric lawyer father Clifford Mortimer, played by Sir Laurence Olivier. Probably the worst movie that Laurence Oliver ever made. Save your time and forget this one!

This was a study of a very difficult man to live with but was admired for his dominance..laurence olivier is always wonderful to watch as an actor but the movie lacked any real depth except in that the children and wife and inlaws were made much more selfless being around him. He was lucky to have such kind people around him.
