This is a different look for Miriam Yeung than her fans might be used to. In this story, she doesn't play the comedienne, but instead takes a more serious role. As such, it's more of a romantic story with a few unlikely relationship twists. Although there are some funny moments, it doesn't qualify as a laugh out loud comedy. Additionally, the writing was weak due to numerous plot points that made it difficult to know the story's direction. Unfortunately, just when you think Miriam had moved into a different crowd of actors, the usual Hong Kong characters make their usual unneeded appearance near the end of the film. When choosing the Cantonese language nearly everyone is dubbed except Miriam and when choosing Mandarin, the dubbing is reversed. The DTS audio option made good use of surround sound. As for extras, there's a trailer for the movie that isn't subtitled in English and a "Making of" featurette (14:01 min) that isn't subtitled in English. Recommended only for Miriam Yeung fans.
