When an honest cop is senselessly gunned down on the means streets of a poverty-stricken city, his fearless father moves into the neighborhood on a deadly mission of vengeance in this gritty urban action thriller starring Steven Seagal and Eddie Griffin. Max Ballester was a good cop who made the unfortunate mistake of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Now Max is dead, the victim of a senseless and seemingly random act of violence. When the murder goes unsolved and the police fail to single out a suspect, Max's father, former government special ops agent Simon Ballester (Seagal), decides to take the law into his own hands. After moving in to the very neighborhood where his son was recently gunned down, Simon embarks on a relentless mission to find his son's killer - constantly probing everyone who crosses his path and never hesitating to crack a skull or two when things get tough. Of course the local gangs don't take kindly to such bold inquiries, especially when they are being conducted by an ex-government agent. Fortunately Simon is more than capable of fending for himself in such dangerous situations, and as the local thugs come out to play he unleashes a fury the likes of which have never been seen even on these treacherous streets. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Finally a Stevan Seagal movie they way they should be. Worth a watch if your a fan of the older movies he made. Griffin is funny even when he is a bad guy. Watch it!

A blast from te past....finally. a Seagal movie that I was able to watch from beginning to end without falling asleep or takig it out early. This reminded me of the early good Seagal movies.....not an academy award winner, but definately worth to watch it.

Fat, over-the-hill, wannabe martial artist + "urban" = yet another Seagal blacksploitation movie with the same tired plotline. Why another one? Because Seagal is target-marketing. He may look dumb, but that's just a disguise. He knows the demographics of his audience. He also knows that living at a Luby's All-You-Can-Eat Buffet is expensive. Gotta pay those bills somehow. "He uses his legs alot"? Are you kidding me? On film, they can make Volkswagons fly, if they want. Stunt legs aside, Seagal is getting much too fat to throw kicks that mean anything. Really, Steven. Why not just stop? You are way past becoming a punchline. You are the whole joke. Look... Dunkin' Donuts really does have taste testers. I think that job might be right up your alley. Think of it. Free donuts. Little work. No talent required. Perfect! I'll give you a good reference.
