Four and a half stars. This "movie" is more of an extended episode that should've concluded the 2nd GIG series rather than the Stand Alone Complex series entirely. And being a movie about the Puppeteer, you'd think the developers would've tailored it to be more similar to Mamoru Oshii's GITS movie that came out in the 90's, although I guess if they did that, it would be just a remake and not another movie entirely. However, it still does a fantastic job of delivering the powerful and sophisticated tone of the series and should definitely not be missed out by anyone who has seen all of the GITS: SAC series. But don't stop there; make sure to check out the original Ghost In the Shell and it's sequel GITS: Innocence.

this movie was okay. it looks fantastic. but there could have been more of the major. she just looms in the background for most of the movie. this movie is as good as any episode, but i think if they were going to make a movie, they could have added more violence and nudity. i'm a big fan of the series so i still give it a thumbs up.
