This cult classics an is of my favorite 80s movies. Kurt Russell plays Jack Burton, a John Wayne type that will remind you of Han Solo from the Star Wars movies. Jack gets himself involved in an ancient Chinese socerer battle when his friends girlfriend is kidnapped by the socerer thugs. A great John Carpenter movie that will keep you entertained.

As a little girl my sister and I would watch this movie everyday, twice a day and now as an adult I could still watch this movie everyday, twice a day.

I love this movie. It's one of my favorites. Kurt Russell doing John Wayne is classic. I remember Kim Cattrall from this movie. I expected her to become a big star after being in this movie, but rarely saw her in the intervening years until ... Sex and the City. I always wondered why there weren't more of these Kung Fu meets Hollywood flix. Now Quentin Tarantino has the market cornered. But this one is a lot more fun and less brutal.
