Years after its original publication, J.D. Nochpynne's novel "The Pale Queen of Night" continues to confound even the most astute literary scholars. When professors and founders of the Society of American Nochpynne Scholars Aldridge Bullock, Candace De Luna, and Ed Fertig organize an academic conference staged to debate whether the book aims to target white male hegemony or illuminate the flaws of the politically correct mindset, Nochpynne-obsessed 13th year grad student Sasha Plotzkin sees the event as the perfect opportunity to finally prove his worth in the literary community despite the fact that he hasn't received an invitation to the event.
