Giallo Collection [4 Discs]

Giallo Collection [4 Discs] ()
Member Rating:
Named for the lurid Italian literature that inspired it (the paperback books often sported telling yellow covers), the giallo film offered graphic tales of murder, often with an unpredictable twist. Now four of the movement's most notorious films finally arrive on U.S. shores thanks to Anchor Bay. Presented in their original aspect ratios and sporting audio rendered in Dolby Digital Mono, The Bloodstained Shadow, Short Night of Glass Dolls, Who Saw Her Die?, and The Case of the Bloody Iris are sure to keep viewers awake and checking the locks on their doors. Extra features include exclusive interviews with the directors (with the exception of The Case of the Bloody Iris), theatrical trailers, and filmographies. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide

'The B'stained Shadow': Good! It was fun trying to guess whodunit (3 stars). 'The Case of the B' Iris' was lousy. Skip it (2 stars).'Short Night of Glass Dolls' was well acted, etc., but unsatisfying (never really explained & lousy ending) (2 stars).
